Established in 1985 and servicing the insurance needs of the local and surrounding areas of the Scottish Borders from our office in Roxburgh Street, Kelso. We provide friendly, personal, one to one advice and arrange insurance that best fits your needs working with the latest modern technology. We are also very happy to visit clients at their own home or business premises if required. Wood and Ker Insurance have built up a well respected reputation in and around the Scottish Borders of providing tailored farming and livestock insurance to the agricultural industries, a wide range of landlord insurance products, as well as the more general requirements of residential and commercial insurance requirements – whether that be buildings and contents, travel insurance or motor insurance.
Steven Russell has worked in the insurance industry since 1999 and has been with Wood and Ker since 2010. He has worked in different roles over the last 17 years but now his full focus is providing a top class service to existing and new clients whether it be on a personal or business basis. He reports an upsurge in people again preferring to deal on a face to face basis. Many of these people are now fed up dealing with call centres and online search portals.
He brings a wide range of knowledge and experience to Wood and Ker from various sectors of the market, however his main focus is in the General Insurance part of the business. Steven offers advice on all aspects of general insurance, from motor and home insurance, to more complicated business cover including farm and agricultural insurance.
Caroline has been with Wood and Ker since 2002 and has worked hard over the years giving specialist and face to face advice to all her clients. She also has great experience in the motor and home insurance sectors and the more complicated business insurance needs including farm and agricultural insurance.
Based from their office in Kelso, Steven and Caroline are happy to meet clients in the office or at their home, and pride themselves on the personal relationships they have with all of their clients.
Growing up in the Borders means that both Steven and Caroline know the importance of a local, professional and personal service focused on the client and providing outstanding customer service.
